About
A venue hosted by a real person.
Sterling Event Space is a 4,000 sq ft refined urban venue in Denver's Golden Triangle. It's been hosted, since opening, by Elizabeth — whose name appears in nearly every review you'll find of us.
Hosted by
A letter from Elizabeth.
I’ve hosted Sterling since the room was first opened to bookings, and I still walk every event with the people who booked it. That’s the part of the job no listing site captures, so I want to say it plainly here.
Sterling is on a quiet Golden Triangle block between the Denver Art Museum and the Convention Center — a neighborhood made for events that want to feel like they belong in Denver. The building gives you 4,000 square feet of hardwood, a 30-foot barrel-vaulted ceiling, steel trusses, skylights, a restored garage door that opens to the sidewalk, and a gas-fireplace loft upstairs.
What I bring is the work behind that — the planning calls, the day-of timing, the question you didn’t know to ask. Every review you’ll find about Sterling names me by first name, which I take as the closest thing to a job description.
If you’re considering Sterling, send a note. I reply the same day.

The building
A barrel-vaulted refit on a quiet Denver block.
Architecture
A working space, not a wedding factory.
Sterling occupies a single 4,000 sq ft floor with a 30-foot barrel-vaulted ceiling, steel trusses, skylights along both ridges, polished hardwood floors, and a restored garage-door entrance that opens to the sidewalk. Upstairs, a small loft holds a leather chesterfield and a working gas fireplace. The building is a working space — it gets used for what people bring to it. We rotate art on the walls, swap furniture between events, and book one party at a time. That last part matters; nobody who hosts at Sterling shares the room.

Golden Triangle
Three blocks from the DAM, five minutes from the Convention Center.
Sterling sits on Delaware Street between the Denver Art Museum and the Colorado Convention Center, in the Golden Triangle neighborhood that gives the area its name. Abend Gallery and Gallery 1261 are within walking distance. The hotels that serve the Convention Center are around the corner. Highway access to I-25 takes one turn. The neighborhood doesn't show up on the booking listings — but every guest mentions it after the event.

What we believe
Three things we do differently.
Bring your own bar.
You drink what you want, at the price you got it for. We don't mark up. We don't carry inventory. Cleanup is in the rate.
External catering, always.
Your favorite caterer stages in our full kitchen. We don't cook, we don't pretend to. The kitchen is yours for the booking.
We answer the phone.
Elizabeth picks up. Same day for emails. Saturdays for tours. No call center, no chatbot, no waiting list.
